Daydreams Are

Why do they always say "get your head out of the clouds"

?

I don't understand why we shouldn't be able to have adventures.

Sometimes we can't go places physically.

Sometimes these places don't actually exist.

So our minds become our ships

and in the bottles of our skulls

we sail away to our own undiscovered islands.

Daydreaming is not just for children.

If it is I never want to grow up.

Hi AJ,

Check out this video, I think you will like it. It is inspiring, motivating, encouraging. Growing up does not mean abandoning your dreams. Sometimes it can mean that you realize your dreams, and they can come true.

Papa Jim's favorite line on here is that you are older on the inside than you are on the outside.

So true :) When people "scoff" at your dreams, often they really aren't in the position to do so... In fact I think our capacity to dream is a very special and unique one... Many people don't realise what wondrous worlds may be hiding within such "clouds"; plus why should it be any less "valuable" than the world outside it?

(oh, and thank you for visiting my blog :) )

Thanks for your input! I agree totally... a lot of humans don't appreciate our capacity for imagination and it breaks my heart.

And I really liked your blog, it's wonderful.

Wow you really do have a creative mind Annette. I admire that in anyone. As we grow i feel we do actually learn to not live in the clouds as much...and thats a shame. We need to think outside the artifical world we live in. We need to live in the clouds and daydream lol It's the only thing that keeps the wheels of my life constantly turning :)

We breathe. We pulse. We regenerate. Our hearts beat. Our minds create. Our souls ingest. a few seconds, well used, is a lifetime.
